That is worse than …
That is worse than the Theisman injury, in my opinion. The leg just went in a direction it is not supposed to.

For years I thought …
For years I thought that Joe Theismann’s was the worst injury ever, but this makes Joe Theismann look like a flu shot. I don’t know if anyone knew this, but Napoleon McCallum almost died because he severed an artery in his leg, tore all three major ligaments, tore the calf muscle and hamstring muscles from the bone, and he suffered nerve damage. I mean, my god. It’s amazing this or any other serious injuries don’t happen more often. I can’t even imagine the pain he felt.

“McCallum suffered …
“McCallum suffered a complete hyperextension of his left knee, almost to a right angle. He suffered a ruptured artery in his left knee, and tore three ligaments, tore the calf and hamstring from the bone, and suffered nerve damage in the knee.”
His left cleat actually got caught in the ground when Norton pinned him.

@TxRoadDawg
This is the worst non-spinal fooball injury I’ve ever seen. In addition to ripping up all the ligaments, it also caused nerve damage and tore the artery. This injury actually could have killed him.
