in high school football rules, can the ball be handed foward to a lineman?
April 3rd, 2010 | by admin |can a player from team in possession hand the football forward to a lineman, i.e. tackle, guard or center?
No, they are ineligible. The ball has to be fumbled or a "fumble-rooskie" where the ball is placed on the ground and a pulling lineman picks it up… very dangerous trick play

it can be thrown behind the line of scrimmage to him. otherwise, he has to check in as an eligable reciever. all linemen are automatically ineligable for catching though.
