Does anyone know all the rules to football?

April 9th, 2010 | by admin |

Just wondering since that game is so full of bullshit and has more rules then the rest of any countries sports combined. The only person I can think of that MIGHT know all the rules is John Madden, and he s an old whore. Anyone else know the rules and why would anyone like the bullshit sport that is football?

You sir are not an American. Let me guess you were the kid that got picked last at recess.

As far as the NCAA, the rules can be downloaded. The same is true for the two national high school organizations which most states follow. As far as the NFL, it doesn’t make it’s rule book public until a year’s edition is two years old.

Game play in American football consists of a series of downs, individual plays of short duration, outside of which the ball is dead or not in play. These can be plays from scrimmage—passes, runs, punts, or field goal attempts—or free kicks such as kickoffs. Substitutions can be made between downs, which allows for a great deal of specialization as coaches choose the players best suited for each particular situation. During a play, each team should have no more than 11 players on the field, and each of them has specific tasks assigned for that specific play. In the NFL Games are 4 15 min. quarters, while in college they play 4 12 min. quarters.

The object of the game is to score points by advancing the ball to the opponent’s end zone for a six-point touchdown, by kicking the ball through the goal posts for a three-point field goal, or by tackling an opposing ball carrier in their own end zone for a two-point safety. After scoring a touchdown a team may attempt a one-point "extra point," a close-range field-goal-type kick, or a "two-point conversion" in which the ball is advanced into the end zone on a single play instead of a kicked extra-point attempt. The team with the most points when time has expired wins.
