What is the greatest come back in College Football history?
April 9th, 2010 | by admin |One that comes to mind to me is in 2005 when WVU came from behind to beat Louisville 46-44
–thats when Pat White and Steve Slaton became starters
Burnt Sienna is right about the Michigan St. game being the biggest comeback AND about it not being the best. Although I’m a Mountaineer fan (was born there, so my blood runs old gold and blue) and I truly appreciate the amazing comeback in the 4th quarter against a very good Louisville squad, I have to give the nod to Maryland against Miami. They came back from 31 down with 12:35 left in the 3rd quarter (31-0), to win 42-40 against an incredibly talented Hurricane team that was the defending National Champions. Frank Reich orchestrated the comeback and is also known for doing the very same thing while in the Pros with The Buffalo Bills in a playoff game against the Houston Oilers. He led them from 35-3 down in the 3rd quarter to a 41-38 victory in overtime. It is the largest comeback in NFL history.

you’ve got to be a West Virginia fan???
how about Michigan State’s just last year…
I won’t say it’s the best (although I believe it’s the biggest) but if anything’s going to stick out to somebody, it should be a 35 point comeback in a quarter in a half.

Well the ‘Greatest’ was when Weber State was crushing Nevada 42-7 at the half in 1991, only to watch Nevada outscore them 49-7 in the 2nd half.
That was sick, as was the stomach’s of the Weber St players after the game.

AUBURN at Florida in 1994
AUBURN qb patrick nix threw a game winning t.d. pass to frank sanders to win the game at the end knocking off no.1 ranked Florida.
Not one person in the country gave AUBURN a chance in h*ll of winning.
I also like LSWho at AUBURN in 1994 when AUBURN’S defense returned 3 interceptions for t.d.’s to come from behind to win. The offense never scored a single t.d.
