What are the most memorable games of college football played since the start of the 2004 season?

March 5th, 2010 | by admin |

I’ve only been following college football for the past few years as a USC fan/student, so I’ve seen relatively few college football games in my day. Only three games have really stuck in my mind over the years, and these are my favories in order:

1) 2007 Fiesta Bowl, Boise St vs. Oklahoma
2) 2006 Rose Bowl, Texas vs. USC
3) 2005 USC vs. Notre Dame, the "Bush Push" game.

I’m not saying I’m happy with the results of those games (I was very upset about USC’s loss to Texas), and even though I’m a Southern Cal fan I’ll admit that the "Bush Push" was against the rules. But these are the games that seemed to me most exciting and memorable.

So now I’m asking, what games were the most memorable to you over the last three seasons of college football? What games have I missed that were really worth watching for even non-fans of the teams?

My memorable games list would include the following:

Bowl Games
1) 2007 Fiesta Bowl (Boise St. vs. Oklahoma)
2) 2006 Rose Bowl (Texas vs. USC)
3) 2005 Rose Bowl (Texas vs. Michigan)
4) 2006 Sugar Bowl (West Virginia vs. Georgia)
5) 2006 Orange Bowl (Penn St. vs. Florida St.)

Regular Season Games
1) USC vs. Notre Dame (2005)
2) Rutgers vs. Louisville (2006)
3) Auburn vs. LSU (2006)
4) Florida vs. South Carolina (2006)
5) Ohio State vs. Michigan (2006)

For me it was Auburn beating Florida at Auburn last year. this is because i was there. I disagree with Boise St. only because they should have never been in that game. The mid majors do not deserve to go to a BCS game. And i also include the PAC 10 as a mid major. THE PAC 10, GOT MORE CUPCAKES THAN BETTY CROCKER

Boise State vs. OU – period the hands down best college football game I have ever seen.
    USC – Texas
USC – Notre Dame are both close.

Michigan Penn State in 2005, I was there in row 4 in the student section. I think we stayed after the game for like an hour, it was the game with the 1 second touchdown pass to manningham and was psu’s only loss that year.
