The numbers are the numbers. But when a scout comes to watch practice they are looking for a player that rises above the rest. They are checking to see if the player looks the part of the position. When that is established and you've piqued their interest, you will then get down to the numbers.

Speed, Strenth, Size…. But, not as much as the pros. A college will take a chance on you if you’re too slow/small/weak, if they’ve seen you have success with your high school team. (A pro team may even… look at AQ Shipley who is on the Steeler’s practice team)
