I respectfully disagree The 2005 USC team was so dominant on offense, it covered up the infirmary they had for a defense by the end of the season. The 2004 USC team and 2001 Hurricanes both manhandled Oklahoma and Nebraska in the championship games. I would say it’s a toss up between ‘04 USC or ‘01 Miami. But ‘05 Texas was solid.

Aren’t these the type of debates that make college football great?

@jmoon219 2004 USC? The same USC team that nearly lost to Stanford, Oregon State, and UCLA in the same year? Nah. The 2005 USC team was better than the ‘04 team, but don’t get as much love because they didn’t win the national title. I would say either ‘05 Texas or ‘01 Miami.
